Dad is still in SICU
Although it is encouraging to see Dad's progress, he is still in critical condition in SICU.
We will try to keep you as informed as we can about his condition on this blog.
Help us respect that because of the size of our immediate family, we can not overwhelm the SICU staff with more visitors than our immediate family at this time. The staff have been instructed to direct any calls to my brother Pete's cell phone.
If you want more information or want to see us personally, someone is usually hanging out in the SICU waiting room at some point during the day. (Unless of course we are all doing a family conference like we did yesterday.) I know for some it is awkward to write on a computer and feels so impersonal, so we appreciate your visits and prayers in the SICU waiting room at the Health Sciences Centre.
Feel free to send us a word of scripture or prayer for Dad on the Message page or in a comment. We will read it to him personally. At this point because of his sedation levels and his critical condition we have not clarified the situation of mom's death with Dad. Based on his responses so far, we do not know how much Dad is aware of Mom's death at this time.
